PROLOGUE

An angry male voice was heard from afar.

I closed my eyes and thought about my current situation.

—This was the town of Rookie Adventurers, Axel.

It is known as “The Town of Beginnings”, a place where low level adventurers could find party members.

That’s right.

We left the Crimson Demon Village  to reach here, and protected a caravan along the way.

The reward was a stay in this hotel—

“If I knew it would be like this, I wouldn’t have come to this parallel world! Restart! I want a restart!”

As I reminisced, a complaining voice shouted again.

…Parallel world?

Was someone drunk downstairs?

“I’m the one who wants a restart, you shut-in! If I had to come no matter what, I would choose to come with a handsome hero to pamper me! Who wants a useless bean sprout like you?!”

“You bitch!”

What were they arguing about?

I got out of bed and opened the window. An eye-catching sunset dyed the sky of Axel red.

On the streets, there was a group of adventurers who were returning after completing a quest. They were covered in satisfied smiles despite looking somewhat worn out.

These adventurers were not well-equipped. They didn’t even have someone in proper armor.

It was a small party that was poorly balanced, its members consisting solely of vanguards and rear guards.

One couldn’t blame them.

This is the Town of Rookie Adventurers after all.

For me, this town was the starting point. I was merely passing through.

I should be staying here only for a short while.

I held on to the window frame and looked out at the golden-haired adventurer who seemed to be returning after completing a mission. That person said happily to the companions behind him.

“Hey, we defeated more than expected today. Why don’t we be extravagant?”

“Great! I want a Warm Green Neroid and tokoroten slime set meal!”

“Yahoo! I want ice-cold beer and fried frog nuggets set meal!”

“Hey, hey, even if you want to be extravagant, you should upgrade your equipment first… Sigh. Never mind, it’s fine once in a while… I also want ice cold beer and fried frog nuggets set meal!”

…As an Archwizard, I expected to perform and become famous worldwide. Although I did not intend to stay in this Rookie town for long…

“Lynn! Keith! Taylor! We must drink our fill this time!”
